We love working with a concept, an existing engagement ring or other “parameters”. Feel free to email images to cat@gracegow.com prior to your workshop or book a 30 minute consultation to discuss your ideas.

When you booked your wedding ring carve, you paid a Workshop Fee for the class materials, wax carving lesson and physical time and space spend with Cat while she taught.
After we design your rings, your waxes will be weighed. You’ll select your metal type, your gemstones and your casting and production costs are calculated , Additional studio time fees may apply.
The process is the lost wax casting process
Your custom VOW carving experience is a one-on-two creative time where we discuss the vision for jewelry that begins together. (This varies from the general class which includes other carvers and is a less personalized experience).
The workshop fee is valued at $345.00 and includes all materials, workshop time and learned techniques and skills to carve wax during the time we're together carving.
Your workshop fee is $345.00 per person. The cost of the workshop experience includes the realization of the *wax version* of your wedding rings. Once your ring is carved, you will select 14K or 18K yellow gold or solid 925 Sterling Silver and pay additional monies.
We will weigh your wax, calculate that weight in your selected metal and arrive at your final cost.
Workshop Fee + Cost of Metal + Gemstones + Studio Work Fee = Total price for your ring
The Studio Work Fee is $120 hour where Cat will work on your wax, as approved by our client
For Example:
Hers: A beautiful domed 14k Yellow ring with three 2.2 MM diamond gemstones: $2900.00 We would apply you $400 materials credit, and your final solid yellow gold + gemstone ring cost is $2500.00.
His: James' white gold ring with a custom carved Claddagh design detail added by Cat: $1550 We will apply his $400 materials credit, and his final white gold ring cost $1100.
Yes. Depending on your metal selection: silver, gold or platinum. The additional cost is based on the weight of your ring in your desired metal type.
We are able to build a smaller ring that weighs less in your design. Please communicate your budget and we’ll target a size and scale of ring design that is doable.
If one decides to set a stone, that is their option. If you chose to create a simple band without any gems, that is fine.

As with everything in my experience, it's an option; Your had the option to "dig" indentations and did not. Once the rings are cast, stones get set. In short, setting happens later.
No, you’ll leave your wax with Cat so she may start the production process to turn your wax into a metal ring. Your finished final wedding ring will arrive 4-6 weeks after your carve.
Sometimes people create their rings quickly.. Initially, we will discuss the design of the ring, the weight, the gems and the metal type. If your ring is carved quickly…congratulations! I am there to help you create your ring in any hands-on way you may request.
We did not use very simple tools: sandpaper, carving tools, an stainless steel scraper tool, an exacto blade and a votive candle. All the the tools available will be out on the table. Often times, the majority of the time is spent sanding and shaping using sandpapers.
If you'd like to carve in-person with Cat, we have upcoming events here If you'd like a private consultation with Cat in her Pioneer Square showroom, you may book an appointment.
